Events Heroes Among Us Luncheon Honoring Extraordinary Achievement On May 26, 2010, the Novato Fire Foundation and founding sponsor Circle Bank hosted the inaugural Heroes Among Us Luncheon at the Inn Marin in Novato. A capacity crowd of 110 community, business and political leaders helped the Novato Fire Foundation recognize everyday people doing extraordinary accomplishments in the community. Full Press Release. Dedication of the Novato Firefighter Memorial, October 29, 2004 The Firefighter Memorial was dedicated at a ceremony attended by many local and state fire agencies. Fire Chief George Cavallero and Engineer Steven Rucker, both of whom suffered line of duty deaths, were honored for their service to the community and citizens of Novato.
