About Us

The Novato Fire Foundation is a Public Charity, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.  Our Employer Identification Number: 20-1223584. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) Corporation.  Contributions made to the Foundation are tax deductible under   section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.  The Foundation can also receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts.

Novato Fire Foundation Bylaws

The Novato Fire Foundation was created to support a variety of projects, programs, and services of the Novato Fire Protection District.

The Novato Fire Foundation funds programs and services that benefit firefighters and citizens alike.

The main objectives of the Foundation are to:

· Raise funds for charitable, community, and educational purposes for the betterment of the Novato Fire District.

· Fund programs that enhance the fire and life safety systems within the Novato area.

· Fund programs that preserve the firefighting history of the Novato Fire District.

· Offer financial aid to programs that assist the education of all specific population groups within the Novato Fire District, including but not limited to seniors, youth, and special needs groups.

· Provide a funding source to mitigate the effects of fires, natural disasters, and help minimize or prevent their national and personal impact on members of the community.

· Solicit funding through grants, bequests, and other fundraisers that are deemed appropriate to the mission of the corporation.

· Implement and support a citizen defibrillation program.

· Assist with the purchase of apparatus and equipment for the Novato Fire District.
